Files you upload
Uploaded files are processed to generate Markdown output. Temporary processing files are removed after conversion. Do not upload password-protected, confidential, regulated, or highly sensitive files unless you are comfortable processing them through this service.
URL conversion
If you use URL conversion, the public URL you submit may be sent to a reader/extraction service so the page can be converted into Markdown. Do not submit private, internal, login-protected, or sensitive URLs.
License keys and usage limits
DocToMD stores limited usage counters to enforce free and paid conversion limits. Your browser may store a device token and license key in local storage so the service can recognize your usage and activation status.
Analytics
We may use lightweight website analytics to understand aggregate traffic and improve the product. We do not use analytics to inspect uploaded file contents.
Payment providers
Paid checkout and billing are handled by external payment providers. Payment details are processed by the payment provider, not stored directly by DocToMD.
